Spreadsheet: document or paper where information is organized into columns and rows
Row: horizontal arrangement of cells identified by a number on the left
Column: vertical arrangement of cells identified by a letter at the top
Cell: the box formed where a column and row cross each other
Cell address: the column letter and row number of a cell (e.g. Al or G3)
Label: text or words
Value: numbers
Sum: the answer to an addition problem
Average: the sum divided by the total number of addends
Difference: the answer to a subtraction problem
Formula: a set of instructions that tells the computer to do a calculation or a task. Formulas are equations that calculate a result from existing values or numbers.
