QTL: Quality Teaching and Learning
Requirements for Renewal Credit

To Receive 4.4 CEUs for QTL: 

• Participants will attend all six sessions and complete all assignments.
   
• Each teacher will write and implement one lesson with effective activating, cognitive and summarizing strategies, including the use of technology. All materials needed to teach the lesson must also be submitted. The lesson plan must meet all criteria for publication as established by the QTL instructors.
   
• No partial credit will be given.

Make-up Policy:

• Any training days missed must be made up during one of the next consecutive training sessions. 
  (e.g., If Day 3 of a cycle in the summer of 2005 is missed, it must be made up during a cycle in the fall of 2005.)
   
• If any of the Days 1-4 are missed, all original due dates for drafts, revisions, implementation, and publication of lesson plans still apply.
  (e.g., If Day 3 of a cycle in the summer of 2005 was missed and isn't made up until the fall of 2005, the lesson plan draft and implementation will still be due on the dates that were set for all summer participants.)

****EXCEPTION****
If a participant misses Day 5 and/or Day 6 of training, he/she must still make-up the day(s) in one of the next consecutive cycles but will follow the due dates set for the make-up cycle.

Stipends will not be provided for make-up days or repeated training.
