This interactive web site allows students to participate in online worksheets, flashcards and games that are designed to improve Math skills for grades K-6.  Teachers can use the Flashcard Creator and the Worksheet section to generate activities which target specific skills.  Worksheets or flashcards can be used online or printed for offline use.  A homework helper is also available to assist students with problems "after hours."
AAA Math
Students in K-8 can practice basic math skills at this site.  Activities are randomly generated and interactive.
This K-8 resource provides printable worksheets and online generators for activities, calendars, games and puzzles.  Children's writing can be posted at this site.

Kathy Schrock has compiled an extensive list of online resources for education at this site.  All subject areas are covered as well as links to teacher helpers for creating materials.

The web site currently has weekly lessons for Grades 5, 6, 7 and 8 and many of the activities and "best practices" are adaptable to other grade levels.

Kids Voting USA
The Kids Voting USA website has all of the Civics Alive! and Destination Democracy activities as well as enhancements, supplements, and materials in Spanish.  It even includes an E-Bulletin for teachers that comes out quarterly.  The materials are found in the password protected part of the Teachers Only section of the website.   If you are a Guilford County teacher,  you can register online.  You can find the additional access information (user ID and password) at the following locations:

The Landmark-Project is dedicated to providing online tools for teachers.  Tools include: Citation machine, Permission Request form, Rubric builder, plus the SLATE tool.  The SLATE tool provides a simple online form for teachers to use in building an web-based resource/activity page for their students.  Access to rubrics and SLATES that have been created by others is also available.
The North Carolina Standard Course of Study Curriculum Matrix, along with lesson plans for most objectives, can be accessed at this site.  Many other educational resources which are directly correlated with the North Carolina curriculum can also be accessed here.

Rubric Builder at Landmark Project
The Rubric Builder allows the user to generate a rubric with up to 9 objectives and 9 performance indicators. ACT Lesson Plans
The ACT: Activity, Curriculum, and Technology Project is a joint effort by the technology and curriculum departments to provide lesson plans for teachers.  These lesson plans focus on effective ways to teach the curriculum objectives in the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.  From this site teachers can access lessons in a variety of ways, enter new lessons, edit and preview previously entered lessons and learn about instructional strategies for improving student achievement.
