Registration Help

Follow the steps below to use the Guilford County Schools Professional Development System.

  1. Click on Logon.
    Log on to: View transcript | Change password | Change personal info | Unregister from classes
     

  2. Enter your GCS Username (the same one used for your email) and Password (first four letters of your last name and the last four digits of your social security number).
     

  3. The next screen will state that you have successfully logged on to the CourseWhere system.  
     

  4. You may now choose to view courses by: Category, Alphabetically order, Month, Location or Interest.

  5. Click view by Alpha.
     

  6. An alphabetized list of courses will appear.  Available courses are noted by the letter [A].
     

  7. Click the course title to view the available sessions.
     
    Note: Courses with [A] have available sessions.
     

  8. To choose an available session, make sure the status is marked Open.  Then click on the session date.

  9. Click on the date of the session for which you wish to register.
     

  10. Read the description, learner outcomes, and prerequisites.  Participants must attend all sessions and successfully complete the expected outcomes in order to receive credit for a course.

  12. Please correct any personal information that may need to be changed.  If the correct answer choice is not available in the popup menus, please choose N/A.

  13. Use the Special Needs/ Comments/ Requests field to convey any additional information that the course instructor may need to know. If no comments are needed, type "none".
     

  14. Click Submit Registration.

  15. This completes the registration process.  An email will be sent to you when your registration is confirmed.  Confirmations will be sent to your GCS email.  Confirmations will only be sent after a minimum number of participants have registered.
     
    *****NOTE: You are not actually enrolled in a course until the registration has been Confirmed.
      

  16. Please print this page to keep for your records.
     

  17. If for some reason you are unable to attend the course, you must logon to this site and unregister at least ONE week prior to the start of the course to allow those on waiting list an opportunity to attend. (You may unregister up to 48 hours prior to the start of a course.)

  18. To view the courses for which you have registered you may click on View Transcript from the CourseWhere homepage.
     

  19. When finished using the Professional Development Management System, click Log off and close your browser.
