Introduction:

In society today, we believe the more money you get the more you have. This is not always true! Once we obtain wealth; often times, we are not given information on how to keep wealth. You are going to learn about personal finances and how to best manage your money.

 

The Task:

With your group, research one of the areas important in personal finance. You will complete the worksheet and you will need to take notes about your area. At the end of your research, you will use the results from your worksheets and notes to aid you in making a poster. Each group will present their area of study to the class. Submit all group findings to the classroom teacher.

The Process:

At the computer: print a worksheet and complete, then discuss with group.

 

Read all directions before you click.

Click on Resources. Click on the links to view and print the worksheet relative to your assigned area of personal finance.

  1. Find your assigned area of personal finance.
  2. Click on that area.
  3. Complete the worksheet individually, then discuss the findings with the group.
  4. Take notes on important details you want to include during your presentation and on your group poster.

 

In the classroom:

  1. Use your Personal Finance WebQuest Worksheet and notes to plan your poster.
  2. Make your poster.
  3. Plan your presentation to be given during class. Each person should speak during the presentation.
  4. Present your research to the class.
  5. Type a one page summary of your group's findings and presentation comments.
  6. Turn in all worksheets (stapled together) to me for your class participation grade.

Conclusion:

After completing the Personal Finance WebQuest, listening to each presentation , and participating in class discussion, you will learn more about your own personal finances.
