How to Calculate Your Weight on Another Planet
If you have trouble understanding the math, ask your parents or your teacher for help.
If you jump up, even as hard as you can, gravity pulls
you back down to the earth. If you
were standing on another planet and jumped up, you would be pulled back
down, too, but
it would feel different.
How strong the pull feels depends on how big the planet is. On planets with more mass than earth, you would feel heavier. On planets with less mass you'd feel lighter. ( Mass just means the amount of "stuff" the planet is made of.)
You will need to record your math on a different sheet of paper.
A. Pick a planet, and write it's name.

B. How much do you weigh?

C. Look at your planet data survey sheet. Look in the column marked Gravity and notice the number.

D. Multiply your weight by the gravity factor. This is how much you would weight on that planet.
